Get ready to run, splash, and support an incredible cause! The Broom Tree invites you to our annual Dash & Splash 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run—our biggest fundraiser of the year, supporting the life-changing work we do for families of children with disabilities in Central Louisiana.
Proceeds go directly to The Broom Tree and help fund:
Our grant program, which helps families afford essential items insurance won’t cover (like adaptive car seats, strollers, therapy equipment, and travel to appointments)
Parents’ Night Out, a respite program that gives caregivers a much-needed break
Caregiver Café, our support group for parents raising children with disabilities
💧 After completing the 5K or 1-mile course, runners will slide into the finish line with a giant slip and slide or water jumper/slide combo—so bring your floaties, wear your hula skirt, or dress in something silly and splash-friendly!

Parents Night Out
The Broom Tree invites you to our exclusive Parents Night Out event, specially crafted for children with special needs. While you take a well-deserved break, our dedicated team will create a safe and engaging environment for your little ones. Expect an evening filled with laughter, games, delicious pizza, and heaps of fun. It’s a fantastic opportunity for your children to hang out, make friends, and enjoy a memorable time, all while you get a few hours to relax and recharge.
